Achieving High Performing Construction Joints
Many project types require interior walls that meet critical performance criteria. The focus of this presentation is on achieving high performing construction joints made up of interior stud walls meeting flat deck concrete or concrete over metal deck. Upon completing this course, the participant will understand considerations for proper selection and design of non-load-bearing walls and have a basic understanding of firestopping. Codes and standards for fire rated construction joints, design and acoustic considerations for construction joints and specification and detailing of firestop for joint applications will also be discussed. - series
